Since 1988, Harvest Trust has worked with schools throughout the UK to provide safe, rewarding nurture holidays for groups of children from underprivileged communities. Now the team at Harvest Trust wants to maximise the use of its wonderful facilities and welcome schools during term-time for a broad range of educational activity days where flexibility is key.

There is nothing to pay - we want you to think of us as a learning resource that won’t put a dent in your school’s budget, but will add value to the curriculum in your school. Harvest Trust will provide minibus transport and a full day of curriculum-linked activities to support cross-curricular or single-subject learning at KS2. Our 18 acre base is a stunning setting for focused learning, safe experimentation and outdoors experience where our teamcan devise and lead workshop-style sessions in woodlands, stream-side and green fields

Capitalise on being only 30 minutes away from some of Cardigan Bay’s most glorious beaches coupled with our local expertise, and you could spend half a day rock pooling with the afternoon spent doing arts and crafts work inspired by the morning’s experience, or learning more about marine ecology,conservation and sustainability.

You can look at clouds and weather systems, trees and life-cycles, farming and fishing. Our proximity to the River Teifi means you could consider a trip from tributary to estuary, stopping at points to learn about river ecology and/or local waterside industry.

The team at Harvest Trust will be happy to provide a ready-made programme of activities including drawing, drama, sculpture, poetry and storytelling, or we can tailor the day to suit your school in close consultation with you and your staff. We work with groups of twelve children at a time and request that two adults accompany them, at least one of whom should be a teacher.
